Schauz, Eckehard2012-08-282012-08-282012-08-282256-3903http://hdl.handle.net/10567/693The deficient treatment for the organic waste brings odors, lixiviates, greenhouse gas emissions, diseases, vectors and low quality products (organic fertilizers) with high operational costs. The use of solid organic waste, through aerobic processes, is becoming vital as it is understood that oxygen consumption is crucial for this type of processes, and that its degradation speed depends on the properties of the waste to be treated. It also depends on the knowledge about the availability of devices to measure the oxygen and the temperature levels, in an automated way, 24 hours a day, creating the ideal decomposition conditions within the composting pile. At the same time, odors are avoided, the degradation speed increases, the quality of the product improves, the production costs are reduced and other emissions are minimized.esCorporación Universitaria LasallistaFacultad de IngenieríasCompostResiduos sólidos orgánicosResiduos sólidos orgánicos - AprovechamientoCompost - ProducciónOptimización de los procesos de descomposición en residuos sólidos orgánicosOptimization of the decomposition processes for organic solid wasteOtimização dos processos de decomposição em resíduos sólidos orgânicosArticle
