This article introduces de use of the DMAIC methodology of the Six Sigma quality program to reduce the consumption of the Lule 10 chemical dissolvent, used to clean specialized equipment for lithography on tin. Objective. To use the DMAIC method as a model of sustainable development to minimize the impact on its components: environment, human resources and production costs, plus improving the quality levels of the material printed in the lithographic production line. materials and methods. The development of this work was framed in the DMAIC methodology of Six Sigma programs that align activities to define measure, analyze, improve and control the problem, looking for statistics and specific administrative alternatives to obtain consistent satisfactory results with the proposed objectives. Results. A significant reduction of the consumption of the dissolvent was achieved. Also, there was an improvement in the cleaning of equipment in the production line, a reduction of the production costs and a good impact on the health of the operative staff. Conclusion. The Six Sigma program is used as a tool to treat problems related to sustainable development and its influence in the production, making it more agile from an environmental perspective.esCorporación Universitaria LasallistaÁrea Metropolitana del Valle de AburráPrograma seis sigmaContaminación industrialProcesos industrialesImplementación del programa Seis Sigma para desarrollo sostenible en consumo de químicos en procesos litográficosImplementation of the Six Sigma program for the sustainable development of the consumption of chemicals in lithographic processesImplementação do programa Seis Sigma para desenvolvimento sustentável em consumo de químicos em processos litográficosArticle
