In recent years, it was discovered that the Aedes aegypti vector developed a resistance against chemical-synthetic controls in the Cesar province and, then, the number of sick people increased. Objective. Therefore, this study aims to assess the in vitro effects of the raw extracts of Sapindus saponaria at different concentrations in the last three larval stages of A. aegypti. Materials and methods. Heated ethanol was used for the extraction. Results. As a result, lethal effects of the 0.9 g/mL of Sapindus saponaria were found in all of the larval stages during the first 24 hours of application. Conclusions. In the process of determining the saponins percentage in the pure extract by means of the Miller´s sugars hydrolysis method, a high 1, 3 % ratio of concentration was obtained, thus confirming the correlation between the saponins concentration and the larval mortality rate.esCorporación Universitaria LasallistaÁrea Metropolitana del Valle de AburráAedes AegyptiSapindus saponariaBiocidasPlagasPlagas caserasBiocidas - InvestigaciónEvaluación del uso de Sapindus saponaria como Biocida de Aedes aegypti en condiciones in vitroAssessment of the use of Sapindus saponaria as aedes aegypti´s biocide in in vitro conditionsAvaliação do uso Sapindus saponaria como biocida do aedes aegypti em condições in vitroArticle
