Management strategies, like the establishment of a biodiversity protection area are not the exception rule to such complexity. We present some ideas of the interacting elements in these topics, emphasizing on the need of applying complex thinking to the decision making process in a dynamic environment, considering multiple economic, political and social interests, as well as to the biological information. We also point out that an analysis must include local and international considerations, for an effective and sustainable decision making process.esMedio ambienteCorporación Universitaria LasallistaComplejidad ambiental y conservación de la biodiversidad: Interacción de lo local a lo global en el manejo ambientalEnvironmental complexity and biodiversity conservation: interaction from the local to the global context on environmental managementArticle
