For subclinical mastitis control program, the cattle affected was identified through a list provided by the laboratory of the company from partners of different farms , which coincided with a high Somatic Cell Count (SCC ). Fortnightly visits were conducted to implement the California Mastitis Test ( CMT ), to determine the prevalence of mastitis and conduct training milkers in their interpretation and registration; the producer members were trained in good practices in milking routines and hygienic quality and, in cases where it was necessary, samples for culture and sensitivity were taken by the National Mastitis Council U.S. (NMC ) guidelines, for subsequent medication according to the disease -causing pathogen .
