This problem is addressed in the present investigation, seeking to examine the factors that encourage the adoption of green roofs in new horizontal property projects. Materials and Methods: To investigate the above, this study proposes an analytical methodology with documentary means derived from research results worldwide and in-depth interviews with private and public entities and citizens about the viability of the adoption of green roofs. Results: Among the results obtained, it was found that factors such as temperature, energy and quality of life influence the adoption of green roofs.
