Under this new association character, African leaders have devoted themselves to promote their countries in the region and the continent, peace, security, democracy, good governance, respect of human rights and a healthy economic management as a strategy to lead Africa´s development in the 21st Century. NEPAD produced a positive reaction in the rest of the world. NEPAD is based on sustainable development principles for the continent. Without them, it is possible to achieve concrete results. Among these principle we can remark democracy and good governance.
