Free trade agreements (FTA) aim to reduce or finish tax barriers, allowing a free trade flow. Nevertheless, it is necessary to bring a balance to them, which can be applied only in the case that the parties involved have the resources and the preparation to take the best advantages from this kind of agreements. Under these terms, agricultural industries are sensible to FTA´s. They, then, need to bet prepared and strengthen schemes such as Agricultural Industry Districts, as a factor that can foster this segment by the use of scale economies.esCorporación Universitaria LasallistaFacultad de Ciencias Administrativas y AgropecuariasAgroindustriaTratados de libre comercio (TLC)Distritos industrialesDistritos industriales - ColombiaOportunidades de los distritos agroindustriales frente a los tratados de libre comercioOpportunities of agricultural industry districts within free trade agreementsOportunidades dos distritos agroindustriais frente aos tratados de livre comércioArticle
