    The present article forms a part of the macroproject “The game and the toy in the process of hospitalization of the child in the Infantile Hospital Holy Ana “in which they inform the Infantile Hospital Holy Ana and the programs of Psychology and Education of the University Corporation Lasallista. This project is focused in one of the aims of the macroproject which is the mediation describes that Holy Ana realizes the family from the use of the game and of the toy in the period of hospitalization of the child in the Infantile Hospital. His method is based on the investigation by qualitative approach, which uses the study of case. Since methodological strategy raises the documentary review, the observation not participant and the semistructured interview. It takes again contributions of the psychology and the pedagogy To describe the mediation of the family in the process of hospitalization of the child from two categories of analysis: the uses and the effects of this mediation from the game and the toy; since there is had as theoretical supposition that the mediation that realizes the family from the game and the toy realizes of the quality of the link and it reverberates in the way as the child faces the hospitalization.
