Item Diseño de una estrategia lúdica pedagógica infantil para el cuidado de las mascotas(Corporación Universitaria Lasallista, 2015) Giraldo Pamplona, Yeny Andrea; Castaño Vallejo, Jeimy Lorena; Ortiz Sánchez, Robinson DaríoThe current research deploys design, elaboration, and a strategy related to game-based learning. This tool is a board game that promotes the respect and care of pets. In order to complete this task, a qualitative project that can provide much insight was founded. The model for the task encompasses four children from ‘Hogar Infantil Pequeñas Travesuras’ and four children from the preschool Pimponio, with both institutions located in the municipality of Caldas. The tool related to game- based learning is constituted of a board game, twenty cards with images of actions and treatments geared toward animals, a dice, six characters that represent the parts of each player, and 20 footprints; these materials have two methods of playing in which the level of difficulty increases. The results that were collected from one session of the game from each institution allow for diversity in terms of the game’s design, the characteristics in which the game is played, and the way in which the categories related to the care of pets can be analyzed. It was found to be of great utility since children in their first years of life exhibit a characteristic of learning that is guided by factual thinking and their perception of the world that surrounds them. As a result, designing game-based strategies for children in early childhood should be in consideration of this kind of learning and design elements that are manipulative, sensitive, unabstracted, and that activate cognitive aspects in the child related to their growth.
