The reasons why I decided to do this work was to acquire skills that allow me to develop better to the needs that arise in the life of a veterinarian, I chose this place of practice because of the quantity and variety of clinical cases that are presented, Which would translate into better conditions for my training as a veterinarian. I also had the constant company of clinicians treating veterinarians that, thanks to their knowledge and experience in equine clinic, guided me during my apprenticeship, this aspect was perhaps one of the most important. The practice was performed from February 1 to August 21, 2016 and during this time a case of neonatal septicemia was presented, which I chose as the theme for the presentation of a clinical case and topic to be discussed in this study. A description of neonatal sepsis in foals was made through a clinical case including: pathophysiology, clinical examination findings, diagnosis, treatment, management and prognosis.
