    Current techno scientific demands provoke a new relationship between ethics and science, considera-tions that open new horizons given the conjunctures of recent advances. A historical track from technique to techno science allows having a glance to this re-ality we have arrived to. A paradigm of responsibili-ty and an “ontology of living beings” offer adequa-te contextual perspectives to pertinently locate this problem. At the end, the inclusion of the postulates offered by german thinker Hans Jonas can provide suggestive alternatives to contribute and relate.

    Responsibility today is towards the progress and the dreams of the first Modernity. More than an imperative necessity, it is an axiological urgency. With all of the theoretical resources provided by Hans Jonas´ principle of responsibility a prospective scope is also required, and this means an ethical prevision that not only criticizes social and politically dominant values, but also involves all of the development agents and the cultural forces of transformation.
