    This work was carried out in order to analyze the academic procrastination according to some sociodemographic characteristics in students who started their university life in the Lasallista University Corporation in the period 01 2017. Students who are studying first semester in the university may be facing new challenges, experiences and at the same time changes in the rhythm of their lives, this can bring behavioral and emotional results due to multiple aspects, however this work aims to verify the hypothesis that academic procrastination could be related to that with the consequences arising from this new condition, this is being built under a quantitative, descriptive, non-experimental, cross-sectional methodology, with the population of first-semester students and will apply a scale to measure academic procrastination, its prevalence and its motives.
