For this reason, good quality management of a product or service is a condition that serves to obtain greater performance and durability over time. Quality in companies is important, it provides practical tools that lead to compliance with standards, and to be able to compete in an increasingly demanding market, always seeking continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, standardization, and process control. This situation is not only evident in companies, but also in laboratories that want to sell accredited tests that guarantee reliable results, making this demand a necessity. Need evidenced in the Microbiology Laboratory of the Lasallian University Corporation, the quality based on the NTC ISO / IEC 17025: 2017 for the accreditation of the water analysis test, in which: the activities were established and the associated documentation was prepared to the implementation of the quality management system; where all this documentation rests in the laboratory files and is being implemented for each of the activities carried out in the laboratory, together with this, the verification of the most probable number analysis method (NMP) was carried out using colilert technology in water. raw and drinkable; and an instructive for colimetry analysis for waters was prepared by the colilert method for the determination of total coliforms and E. coli.
