Resumen
Introduction. ARTEXTIL S.A. is a mid-size company that provides services of
textile printing dyeing and finishing to third parties. It is currently certified under
the ISO 9001 standards and aims to achieve a continuous quality increase that
fulfills very demanding markets, with a great variety and exclusivity in its design.
Objective. To formulate the management plan of dangerous waste for the company.
Materials and methods. Dangerous remainders were identified, using as a basis
the incomes and raw materials list, and they were classified according to what it
is established in the 4741/2005 decree, the Basilea agreement and the VFPA 704.
Results. A plan for the management of such remainders was formulated, regulating
the way they are classified in the places of generation in the plants; the system for
their collection and transportation was defined, the design of the storage site was
made and the final disposal of the common remainders was proposed. Also, the valorization
or disposition of a special remainder because of its generation in the sector
and its lack of treatment was made. Besides, the costs for implementing these activities
were assessed.
Conclusion. With this information, the company imllemented the adequate
Management of dangerous waste within the Plan for Solid Waste Management.
