Abstract

Bioinputs or bioproducts of agricultural use are tools in organic and conventional farming programs. In Colombia its use has spread in recent years, which have also increased the number of companies and products in the market. The commercialization of this type of products is subjected to compliance of the rules dictated by the Colombian Agricultural Institute, ICA who is the Competent Authority in charge of registration and control. For the commercialization of Bio agricultural inputs, producers and importers sell their products directly to farmers or use distribution channels and sales force to have a wider market coverage, likewise, they also rely on WebPage as an important tool to promote their products, built loyal relationships with their costumers and increase sales. Through the annual Statistical Bulletins of commercialization published by ICA and information related with companies and registered products, registered companies with higher volumes of production, import and sales for the years 2009-2011,were identified, as well as companies that presented the highest number of Bio agricultural inputs registered for the second half of 2013.
