Resumen
This paper approaches writing and society as
phenomena. Three crucial points are studied: First.
the importance of writing in cultural transmission
processes, keeping in mind the other concomitant
circulation ways of the tradition and the necessary
learning processes for the diverse societies, plus
the fundamental functions of writing. Second. the
conservation and the divulgation, concerning the
demands each one makes to writing. Third. the
dialectics that can be established between the
morphological and the hermeneutical analysis in
the process of restituting the sense a text acquires
for a particular society in a given moment.
