Resumen
This article presents the findings of the research
project “Characterization of students with
conditional registration (EMC) in the period
02-2011”. The aim was to describe the main
socio-economic, psychological, academic and
institutional characteristics of students, and
analyze them as potential risk factors associated
with dropout rates in the Corporación Universitaria
Lasallista (CUL). The research is quantitative, with
descriptive repercussions in that it aims to meet
the characteristics of students with conditional
registration. The population consisted of 105
students that at the time had the condition.
The results indicate that it is possible that
the conditional registration of these young
men is associated with the presence of early
maladaptive schemas added to the influence of
some socioeconomic, academic and institutional
features.
