dc.description.abstract | In the context of the health emergency due to COVID-19, the governments, to prevent and combat the pandemic, have increased the purchase of personal protective equipment. The purpose of the article was to analyze the accumulation and treatment of bio-polluting waste in Peru during the COVID-19 pandemic. The methodology corresponds to a theoretical review of scientific articles. The results show that in the pandemic the use of plastics for the manufacture of protective equipment for health personnel and for domestic use increased, making the management and handling of these wastes difficult, that had a negative impact on the environment, it is concluded on the importance of generating public policies for the correct treatment of bio-polluting waste. | es_ES |
