Abstract
Cultural practices on any farm are very important especially in banana crop because of this depends their future production. One of the most important tasks that needs this crop is to tie up the plant, and this allows support the flowering plant to prevent it from falling by the wind or by the weight of the bunch.
The crisis being experienced by the agricultural sector and especially the banana growers by the high production costs and the high raw material prices (nylon), motivated research on new techniques that could be implemented into the banana cultivation.
Finca Cibeles S.A. seek to reduce production costs by adjusting the tie up system of the bunch, while raising awareness of the environmental and economic impact to the crop and for the company to implement the new way to tie.
