Resumen
In the study, an analysis of the prevalent pathologies of the red visor of bovines
was carried out in the slaughter plant Amaga s.a with a high economic impact; Data were
collected during the slaughter process using the organ inspection and palpation
technique, where changes in coloration, consistencies and textures were evaluated.
Samples were taken from the striking lesions, they were fixed in 10% formalin, then
subsamples were taken that were processed using routine histotechnical techniques, to
complement the macro findings with alterations to histopathology.
