Abstract
This study characterizes, lexically, the nominal
treatment formulas used by speakers from Medellin,
taking as analysis points the morphological
processes that intervene in the formation
of the formulas and the practical-semantic
values produced in the moment of the appeal.
Concerning the methodological aspect, a lexical-graphical methodology has been used, allowing
the construction of a corpus in which the formulas
are classified according to the lexical formation
mechanism that intervenes and to the practical-semantic values that influence the meaning of
these lexical units. The article remarks the fact
that the displacement of common names out of a
nominal function, in order to create an appellate
one, involves the appearance of a semantic load
that expresses several connotations in which the
morphological component also plays an important
role.
