Resumen
In this work we describe the development and adaptation achieved by the leather industry,
especially concerning the change of concept in its production process, in which the tendency is
currently the innovation, development and modifications to that process in order to increase
the competitiveness of the sector and the reduction of its environmental impacts by using amicable chemical products. By implementing these cleaner production measurements we
contribute to provide better life conditions to the current and future generations.
