This research is a work of degree to qualify for the title of degree in preschool in the Lasallista University Corporation, located in the municipality of Caldas - Antioquia. It aims analyze the impact of the parenting practices of families and caregivers in the process of recovery of the children hospitalized in the area of Pediatrics the Pablo Tobón Uribe hospital. Why is that the methodology is qualitative, since the problem to investigate cannot be approached from the statistics. The method to be used is the case study, which aims to analyze the families who are in the Pablo Tobón Uribe Hospital. The techniques used will be respectively structured interview and participant observation. In General, and according to what was observed in the interviews and observations made, one could say that in the majority of cases of caregivers or family rearing practices have influenced greatly the recovery process either in positive or negative way. Highlighted as a mishandling of the disease by the parents to slowed the recovery process; However, also observed cases where a proper management of the disease on the part of parents has resulted in a good response to treatment and recover.
