This work is just a descriptive research, which aims to assess and publicize conception rates obtained by artificial insemination protocols timed (IATF). Done by the animal reproduction company TERIOGEN SAS, these studies were carried out on a livestock in the municipality of Caceres Antioquia.
For this project a reproductive analysis was made to all females which would enter the protocol IATF via rectal palpation of which 304 heifers belly Brahman were chosen with an average weight of 339 kg and a body condition score of 3.2 more or less 0.5 ( rating of 1-5 ) when starting the protocol, and different dominant structures found in the ovaries were analyzed like: follicles, corpora lutea or ovaries without structures , differences were analyzed in conception rates depending on the weight that started the protocol , and evaluate whether there was difference between the different bulls used .
Heifers that entered at IATF protocol were performed rectal palpation and ultrasound examinations between 50 and 63 days after being bred for pregnancy diagnosis again.
